Memphis (not Tennessee), Egypt

Memphis is not like any Memphis you may know! We had the opportunity this day to atually go down inside a pyramid. Crawling on our bellies like reptiles for about 70 yards. For those of you that cannot be in tight spaces this would be the kind of all tight spaces! After you crawl that far it finally opens up and you feel as though you are some great archeologist that has just found a "find". It was amazing to think about men with torches digging this out and painting the walls and carving the walls in all that tight space! Amazing. Makes you want to get some picks and shovels and go back there and start digging!! I am sure this experience will make us all better at finding arrowheads at Lake Martin!!

Kathleen can be the next Pharaoh!!

She can move mountains!! She can pick up boulders!!

Beauty.

Beauty.

Our first time to see a camel security check! Those guys were everywhere, with big guns!!

One more time, are you sure you don't want this....how about this..a special price

for my friends!!!!

I am glad one of the camel cops did not arrest Kathleen for horsing around!!

Speaking of camels, here they come, here they are and there they go!! Yes, a truckload of camels passed us on the highway!! They really do have camel racing here. These could be some of their finest racers!!!

Lunch on the Nile River. No crocs!!

Kathleen on the Nile. Lunch with Mary Pat and Jay. We sat a little too close to the band and we did not know any of the Egyptian songs they played! Watermelon man! These guys were out in large numbers. All the fruit in Egypt was wonderful.

Faamily portrait by a crumbling pyramid. You can see the original marble still at the top of this other pyramid. That is where the Muslims were stealing the marble from to build all their mosques. That has ceased. One more time...I need 42 of these great looking hats to take back to friends at home!!

No, I really mean it, 42. Finally, a deal is struck for the hats. If you are lucky enough to get one, I hope you

will enjoy all the times you wear it!!!

Good-bye Nile River...until we meet again!!!!
