Juneau, Alaska Saturday May 23rd, 2009

There are some things you do in your life that you are happy you did once.

There are some things in life, you get the chance to do and you try to figure out when you can do it again.

There are some things in life, that you have been scared to do your whole life and never have done.

There are some things in life, that you have been scared to do your whole life and you did them and wonder why in the world were you so scared and why did it take you so long to do it!!

Take the next helicopter going anywhere. If you die flying, it was meant to be. If you live through it, you'll be booking your next flight! If you come to Alaska and do not go on a helicopter ride, you have missed it. Alaska is SO vast, the only slim chance you MIGHT get in appreciating the size is from a low flying helicopter that can take you up and over mountians, bays, inlets, homes, rivers, glaciers...all in minutes. It was better than good. It was fantastic.

Seems people know here what to do with trophies that only gather duston shelves. They hammer them into the hoods of their vehicles! Get a good look at the track and field trophy from 2008 that we found just as we were headed to a pizza joint in Juneau! Isn't that great!!!

Who knew that Juneau would be one of our favorite places on the entire trip?

Today we took a helicopter ride to a glacier and went dogsledding!! We lived to tell about it but it has gotten too late to write about it...fantastic day! LOTS more tomorrow....
