You can tell very quickly that the haves and have nots of Thailand live just a few feet away from one another. The slums here looked like the slums that are in Mumbai but on a lesser scale of numbers. The city skyline is the backdrop to the slums. No electricty, no running water, and they live daily by going to the market and getting what they need to get by. Everyone goes to the market every day. Much of this reason is that they have no proper way to store the food, the items that need to be kept cold are just consumed and any meat that they might afford is consumed same day. The people here are beautiful. There country is beautiful. Let's hope they can work out their existing problems.
